When these snatch blocks are used with a winch line, the snatch block allows you to  pull or lift heavy objects by alleviating the pull span between the object and the winch.  It helps increase load pulling power and improves the life expectancy of the wire rope or synthetic rope - as it reduces the pressure on them.

These chain blocks are ideal on tow truck and allow for securement into T slots, keyholes or rings, providing a quick, secure anchor point. Used to change direction of winchlines.
